Marana Winds: Musicians Invited to Participate!
Share your love of music and join the Marana Winds to perform in the 2024 community concert, scheduled for Thursday, May 16! All interested staff, teachers, students, alumni and friends of MUSD are invited to participate. The Marana Big Phat Jazz Band, a group of jazz musicians who formed from the Marana Winds, will also be a part of the performance.
Rehearsals for Marana Winds begin Thursday, April 4 and will continue on Thursday nights from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the Mountain View High School band room. A dress rehearsal is scheduled for Wednesday, May 15.

About Marana Winds
Formed in 2013, Marana Winds is a musical group comprised of talented musicians who share their love of music with the community and help raise money for Marana schools. The group is comprised of faculty and staff from the Marana district, and students, alumni, and community members.
Offering a free concert to the public each spring, Marana Winds represents and supports Marana Schools while continuing to perform in honor of its original founder, Todd Ponder. Marana Winds is produced through the support of the Marana Schools’ 2340 Foundation and the Marana Unified School District.
