MUSD Announces Raytheon Leaders in Education Winners!
Marana Unified School District is proud to announce Lindsey Lara, pre-K teacher at Play & Learn PAL Preschool, and Danielle Schroeder, teacher at Mountain View High School, were named Raytheon Leader in Education Award winners during the Stand Up 4 Teachers event held on November 7th. Tawney Petiti, pre-K teacher at PAL Preschool, was also named a finalist.
The Raytheon Leaders in Education Award program celebrates the dedication and impact of local educators, highlighting their essential role in shaping the future. It recognizes Pima County PreK-12 teachers who are achieving outstanding classroom performance, demonstrating leadership in their schools and communities, and supporting their peers in a committed teacher workforce. The distinguished awardees, chosen from a pool of 12 exceptional finalists, exemplify excellence in education across various divisions.
Both Lindsey and Danielle received a $2,500 gift, plus an additional $2,500 in matching gifts, presented to each of the teachers’ respective schools. As a finalist, Tawney received $500.
